Unity Tutorial Week 10

For this week for our unity tutorial we were asked to look up and find our own tutorials online that would help us with unity and creating our game.
I found this youtube channel called Brackeys. It is quite similar to jimmy Vegas but it was nice to listen to someone else explain unity in a different way.
He goes through things really slowly so it is easy to follow.  I've watched a few of his tutorials on making spheres and terrains.
Like Jimmy Vegas he has loads of different episodes for different things.

Game Design Reading Week 2

Designing games by Tynan Sylvester After completing the reading assigned to us for Week 2 I have learnt a lot of new things I did not know before.  When I read the first piece we were given "Don't be a Vididiot"by Greg Crositkyan http://www.costik.com/vidiot.html . He explained gaming in a really simple way which I liked as I am not very familiar of the different types of games. Reading this article gave me a better understanding of different ga...

Reading Week 10

I found this weeks reading week to be really good and interesting. I am really not good at taking critisism so it was nice to read an article about the positive sides of criticism. I like what he said how about how when giving criticism its good to concentrate on the things people can improve on rather then point out all the things they did wrong. He also said the main thing to concentrate on criticism and feedback is that its not unbiased and that factual. I like how part of the article he gives examples on the difference between good criticism and bad criticism.
